Let’s get into it.
THIS WEEK’S BIG IDEA
🛍️ The holiday season already started, and it moved without you
Amazon, Walmart, and Target have pulled their biggest discount events into the first week of October, so the holiday season is now a weeks-long contest for your customer’s budget instead of a single Black Friday sprint. PwC found 79% of shoppers let deals decide when they buy, not just what.
That changes the math for a small seller. Every purchase a shopper makes in October is one they take off their November list, so sitting out the early weeks hands rivals the first slice of the season’s spend.
Our Take: Don’t wait for Black Friday. Launch your best Q4 offer and email it to your list this week, while shoppers are already hunting deals.
TOOLS OF THE WEEK
🛒 Shopify Canvas rebuilds your store by chatting with its AI
Describe the change you want to Sidekick, Shopify’s built-in AI, and it redesigns or rebuilds that part of your store for you. No code, no designer, no add-on to buy.
📦 Amazon now lets you put Prime delivery on your own site
If you fulfill through Amazon, you can now show the Prime badge and free delivery at your own store’s checkout, at no extra cost, which reassures buyers who don’t know your brand.
Our Take: * On Shopify? Open Canvas and have Sidekick rebuild your weakest product page this week. Selling off Amazon too? Switch on free Prime delivery.*
TODAY’S QUICK WINS
📢 Google Ads loosens its business-name rule on October 19
From October 19, your Google Ads business name no longer has to match your domain once you’ve verified you own the brand, so you can send ads to a product-specific domain without a mismatch warning. Resellers and affiliates are still excluded.
📦 eBay wants product IDs on EU orders from November 1
If you ship from outside the EU to buyers there, eBay will require a product identifier on every order from November 1, regardless of value. Listings missing that code can get held up in customs and arrive late.
Our Take: Running Google Ads? Show your brand on the landing page before October 19. Ship to EU buyers on eBay? Add product IDs before November 1.

📝 3 Affiliate Offers Nobody’s Promoting Yet (That Peak Before Black Friday)
Every affiliate is about to pile into the same discounted gadgets. This post shows three overlooked offer types already entering their strongest buying window, with motivated buyers and far fewer affiliates fighting over them.
Our Take: Pick the one of the three that fits your niche and line up its affiliate program now, before the Black Friday noise drowns everyone out.
AI SPOTLIGHT
🤝 Meta One puts AI business tools inside the apps you already use
Meta One builds its AI business tools straight into Instagram, Facebook, and WhatsApp instead of a separate app. The business plans include an agent that answers customers around the clock and invitations sent automatically to everyone who engages with your posts.
Our Take: Before you buy another app, check Meta One’s business plan. Let its AI answer buyers 24/7 and auto-invite everyone who engages to follow you.
UNTIL NEXT WEEK…
